Whilst many students collected their A Level results today, our BTEC National Business Level 3 students were in college to receive their results. The bar has once again been set very high with a 100% pass rate.  78% of students received at least one distinction with 50% awarded straight distinctions or higher.  This set of outstanding results provides security for their chosen destinations in higher education and/or employment.

One student, Joe Smith, achieved D*DD and is now going on to study International Business at Manchester Metropolitan University. Joe stated. ‘I am really pleased with my results that have enabled me to pursue my ambition to go to university. I initially went down the A Level route but it wasn’t for me and I’m glad I took the BTEC instead as this suited me much better. With the support of the tutors here at college I am delighted to have achieved such good results and I am looking forward to continuing my studies at university.’

Another student, Elouise Gleeson, also achieved D*DD and will now be studying accountancy at De Montfort University. Elouise said, ‘I am so pleased with my results, I have performed a lot better than what I expected.

Several of our students secured full time employment or apprenticeships as a result of their grades and work experience performance.

Faculty Head at Stephenson College, Mark Walker, expressed his pride and offered congratulations to a ‘highly committed and aspirational cohort of students who will continue into highly successful careers given their proven work ethic and talent’.  He added praise to an ‘exceptional lecturing team who continually deliver outstanding levels of teaching and learning for our students’.

The BTEC National Business Level 3 provides students with multiple pathways to follow including university, apprenticeships and full time employment.
