Stephenson College are delighted to be supporting their local air ambulance for Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland as their charity of the year and fund-raising activities began last week on International Day of Charity. Your Local Air Ambulance serves five counties across the Midlands and all their life saving missions are funded by charitable donations alone.

Principal, Dr. Nigel Leigh, said:

‘We are pleased to be supporting Your Local Air Ambulance who work tirelessly to save lives and alleviate sickness wherever and whenever possible in the local area. Staff and students at the college will take part in various fund raising activities and we are also holding three community events over the year inviting the whole community of Coalville in to the College to enjoy seasonal activities with all proceeds going towards our charity. We are looking forward to a year of fun activities whilst raising vital funds for this worthy cause.

Vicky Evans, Community Fundraising Executive for the Leicestershire and Rutland area of Your Local Air Ambulance DLRAA said “We would like to say a huge thank you to Stephenson College for making our lifesaving service their charity of the year. We are incredibly grateful for all of their support and look forward to working with them.”

Our next Chairty event is on 31 Ocotber when we will be carrying out a number of 'Spooky Activities' for our Halloween Fund Raiser. For more details about this and our other events throughout the year visit our website https;//stephensoncoll.ac.uk/news-and-events/latest-events
