Our students enjoyed an engaging, interesting and educational programme of activities from the British Army this week. They held workshops, talks, demos and challenges which were all well received by all our learners. Students particularly enjoyed the pancake cooking challenge, the physical tasks and the dragon runner, which is a military robot built for urban combat.
The British Army staff made it a fun and enjoyable experience ensuring our students felt comfortable interacting with the army personnel.
Jamie Appleby, Uniform Public Services and Sport Lecturer, who organised the event, said, "We are extremely grateful to the British Army. All students engaged in the activities, not just Uniformed Services learners which was especially pleasing. We would be more than happy to accommodate them again in the not too distant future for perhaps an even bigger operation!"
Our next open days...
