The sports industry boasts a diverse range of career options whether that be teaching and coaching, sports science, sports business, health and fitness, sports media and business.

Leicestershire is very well known for its sporting achievements and opportunities. The region is home to Donington Park, Leicester Racecourse, Leicester Tigers, Leicestershire County Cricket Club, Leicester Riders and of course former Premier League Champions Leicester City. Leicestershire is also home to world-leading university research and training facilities and a cluster of sport national governing bodies based at SportPark in Loughborough.

BTEC National Foundation Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science Level 3 - Full Time

Level 3 Sport and Exercise Science is aimed at students who want to go on to study Sport or Sports Science at university. This 2 year, full-time course allows students to engage in a significant amount of research within the area of Sport and Exercise Science. It is therefore essential to have a strong grounding in Maths, English and Science to undertake this course.

BTEC National Foundation Diploma in Sport Level 3 - Full Time

This full-time sports qualification is designed to enable learners to gain an insight into a wide variety of areas within the Sports industry. Students can choose one of four pathways; rugby, football, netball or leadership, focusing on a wide range of areas within Sport. These include anatomy and physiology, professional development and leadership, and practical sports performance.

Introduction to Sport and the Uniformed Services Level 1 - Full Time

This qualification aims to help support students' personal development through acquiring skills and knowledge in sport, exercise and fitness - allowing learners to progress onto higher level qualifications in Sport or Uniformed Public Services! The qualification also allows learners to gain personal transferable skills that can be applied to the workplace or further study. Please note: For the 2021-22 academic year, a college bus will be available from Stephenson Campus in Coalville for those who wish to study this course. We also have college bus routes covering many areas of Leicestershire and surrounding counties.

Sport Diploma Level 2 - Full Time

This qualification is designed for anyone wanting to work in sport and leisure centres or other recreational facilities and offers an invaluable look at the opportunities and work carried out across this exciting and dynamic sector.
