What’s happening in the industry?
The business and IT sectors are two of the largest employment sectors in the country right now with in excess of 5 million businesses operating across the United Kingdom and counting. In North West Leicestershire we’re home to a number of renowned national companies including Santander, IBM, KPMG and RBS. Over time the sector will become more global, aiming to win bigger shares of established and emerging markets across the world, meaning exciting new opportunities.
The qualification is specially aimed at those people who work in a business administration role at level 3.The programme last for 18 months and will include an end point assessment, which will be triggered at 12 months into the programme. If you have not done so prior to the start of the apprenticeship you are required to complete a level 2 English and Mathematics qualification before progressing to the end point assessment. Apprenticeship Standard content includes: Business Administration Level 3 Diploma (NVQ). To achieve a Level 3 Diploma in Business & Administration, you must complete a minimum of 40 credits. These will be decided via a skills scan which will be conducted by your trainer on their first visit.
Business Level 2
This exciting Level 2 course is designed to provide work-related skills and knowledge in a range of subjects. If you have a lively and inquiring mind, an interest in business and a willingness to explore new ideas, this course will help you prepare for employment, an apprenticeship or further study at Level 3. This qualification is ideal for learners who want to develop an understanding of the essential skills required to work successfully in a business environment, and gives them an understanding of business culture and responsibilities. This qualification also allows learners to develop the skills required to solve problems, communicate and work effectively with others, and gives them the opportunity to learn how to manage and improve their own performance in a business environment.
Business Level 3
If you have aspirations of being your own boss, managing a department, or even managing a whole business, then this is the course for you! This course teaches you a wide variety of business skills, preparing you for entry to higher education, or a variety of business roles such as marketing, human resources or management.
This nationally accredited qualification is designed to provide individuals with the information they need to successfully work in a team leading role. The programme covers many issues such as: Improving Performance within a Working Team, Diversity within the Workplace, Understanding Change within the Workplace and Developing Yourself as a Team Leader. The course will equip you with core skills to lead a team successfully, motivation techniques to get the best from people, confidence in tackling difficult issues such as under-performance and tools to develop yourself as an effective leader.
This course covers a wide range of knowledge, skills and behaviours to equip you to lead and manage a team successfully. The course content will help you to understand how to motivate individuals to get the best out of your team members. You will also learn how to deal with difficult situations including conflict and underperformance and also how to develop yourself and others. After enrolment, you will receive an induction on the course content, process and procedures and be given a formal introduction to ILM
This apprenticeship qualification is aimed at individuals who are working in HR. It is suitable for people who have the ability and the opportunity to demonstrate recognisable administration skills. This qualification recognises the skills and competences of candidates in the workplace.
