Stephenson College will give each student aged 16-18 attending a full-time study programme, who lives over 3 miles away, £100 towards their transport costs.
Alternatively, students can be supported with transport costs through the College's Discretionary Bursary Fund, depending on household income. For further information please contact Stephenson College, Student Services (01530 836136, extension 219).

From 11 September 2017 Midland Classic will introduce journeys between Burton, Newhall, Swadlincote, Woodville, Ashby and Stephenson College.
The route 9 departure from Burton at 7:45am currently terminating in Ashby will continue from Ashby to Stephenson College arriving at 8:45am, a return departure from the college at 4:45pm is also planned.
Connections would be available in Ashby with service 19 which would provide links for students travelling from Measham, Donisthorpe, Oakthorpe, Netherseal, Albert Village and Church Gresley.
The following fares will apply:
- Student Day Saver: £3
- Student Weekly Saver: £12 (7 consecutive days)
- Student 4-Weekly Saver: £40 (28 consecutive Days)
Day, weekly and 4-weekly Savers can be purchased from the driver with proof of ID.
Student Academic Year Ticket: £395.00 valid during half-term holidays along with Easter and Christmas holiday periods. A photograph will be required and these can be purchased by post direct from Midland Classic.
