Volvo Trucks first entered the Great Britain and Ireland markets in 1967, and with 50 years of fantastic service and commitment to their customers it is easy to see why we they are one of the most prestigious truck manufacturers in the world.
The Volvo Training Academy is based at our Coalville campus. Our workshops are fully fitted out with the latest Volvo vehicles to give you a cutting edge training programme and enable you to use the most up to date equipment and tools. As the Automotive industry is changing at a rapid pace; ourselves and Volvo have committed to ensure our apprentices receive the best training experience.
Renault Trucks UK
The Renault Training Academy is based at our Coalville campus. Our workshops are fully fitted out with the latest Renault vehicles to give you a cutting edge training programme and enable you to use the most up to date equipment and tools.
There are six key programmes comprising heavy vehicle technician, heavy vehicle trailer technician, parts consultant, business administration, service advisor and light/heavy commercial vehicle sales. All apprentices are directly employed within the Renault Trucks dealer network in workshops across the UK and attend block release sessions at the College.
BAM Nuttall is a leading edge supplier of civil engineering services and is fully focused on delivering quality infrastructure projects around the world. As part of the international Royal BAM Group they are fully committed to exploiting advances in technology to improve the buildability of our projects. The Group has an aspiration to become the market leader in the use of digital technology.
Their award winning apprenticeship programme will support you in gaining valuable skills, knowledge, experience and industry recognised qualifications. BAM recruit over 30 apprentices a year, each forming a valuable part of their workforce. Your time will be spent on exciting and varied projects, led by highly skilled and professionally qualified staff, to give you broad understanding and grounding in our business in preparation for your future career.
Aggregate Industries quarries, manufactures and supplies a wide range of heavy building materials to the construction industry. Aggregate Industries operates more than 60 quarries in the UK and has several bases throughout mainland Europe and Scandinavia. Its clients operate in a range of services including construction, aviation, education, horticulture, road building, housing, power and energy and rail.
Aggregate Industries offer 4 year Advanced Engineering Apprenticeship in 2 trades here at Stephenson College's Coalville campus, Electrical and Mechanical engineering. This will give apprentices an opportunity to train as either an Electrician or Fitter within Aggregate Industries.

Formed in 1983 Petit Forestier is the market leader in refrigerated vehicle rental and contract hire in the UK. The company operates from 15 depots strategically located throughout the UK and are based in Tamworth. Its fleet of refrigerated vehicles exceeds 6,000 units, ranging from car-derived vans to trailers.
Petit Forestier and Stephenson College formed a bespoke apprenticeship programme, the “Petit Forestier Apprenticeship Academy”, the first of its kind in the UK that results in apprentices being qualified in multiple disciplines. Once qualified, HGV motor vehicle technicians will be able to tackle any job put in front of them.
