The business and IT sectors are two of the largest employment sectors in the country right now with in excess of 5 million businesses operating across the United Kingdom and counting. In North West Leicestershire we’re home to a number of renowned national companies including Santander, IBM, KPMG and RBS.
Over time the sector will become more global, aiming to win bigger shares of established and emerging markets across the world, meaning exciting new opportunities.
Apprenticeships are nationally designed training programmes free for anybody aged 16+ that have left education or are already in employment. Funding for over 24ís is currently available for those applicants who do not hold higher than a Level 3/A Level equivalent qualification. Apprenticeships offer the opportunity to start a career through a combination of learning and work experience. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are critical. Full initial assessments and diagnostic tests are undertaken.
The BTEC First in IT has been developed to provide full-time learners with the IT skills to enter employment or to progress onto Further Education by continuing to study at Level 3.
The BTEC Extended Diploma for IT Level 3 is suitable for students aged 16 upwards. it is designed to equip you with the knowledge, understanding and practical skills required for success in employment in the ICT and computing industries or for entry to a Higher National or Undergraduate Degree programme in Computing.
